The candle, reconsidered.
Something else entirely.
KOLÓS was born from a conviction: that a candle could be something else entirely.
Founded by Janna and Alejandro, KOLÓS began with a shared obsession — concrete, fire, and the quiet belief that objects worth keeping should earn their place in a room. Not decoration. Not ambiance. Presence.
Scale was never negotiable. A KOLÓS piece doesn't sit quietly — it anchors a space, holds a table, changes a room. Our name says it all. Colossal not in ego, but in weight. In stillness. In the kind of beauty that doesn't ask for your attention, but gets it anyway.
The design draws from the architecture we love. The textured walls, the grounded colors, the calm monumentality of modern Mexico — Luis Barragán's shadow, long and deliberate. Each vessel is cast from cement mixed with marble dust, a byproduct of the marble cutting process rescued from waste and pressed into form. No sand. No shortcuts. The surface carries its imperfections openly. That is the point. Nothing here pretends to be perfect — only considered.
We work entirely by hand in our atelier. Every piece shaped, finished, and inspected with the kind of attention that only a small family operation can sustain. Slow by design. Artisanal not as a marketing word, but as a way of working.
We built KOLÓS to last. The vessels are made to be refilled, not replaced — kept, not discarded. A candle this considered deserves a longer life.
And then there is the scent. While everything about KOLÓS is rooted in Mexico — its materials, its architecture, its weight — the fragrance carries a different origin. Our parfums are drawn from Janna's European world: the places she comes from, the homes she has loved, the air of the cities that shaped her. A personal thread, woven into something universal.
This is KOLÓS. Made in Mexico.
Built to endure. Designed to be felt.
